Journalist/poet Elisa Griswold and photographer Seamus Murphy.

Join New America NYC in collaboration with the Pulitzer Center on July 29 for a night of Afghan poetry reading, conversation and a short film screening with journalist Eliza Griswold and photographer Seamus Murphy.

With support from the Pulitzer Center, Murphy and Griswold collected landays—poetry by Afghan women—in Afghan refugee camps, at weddings, and over plates of pomegranates. Poetry magazine dedicated its entire June issue to the poetry, with written contributions by Griswold and photography by Murphy.
