Pulitzer Center photojournalist Sean Gallagher visited the British Embassy in Beijing, China to share his work on China's wetlands and deserts. The visit was part of a program by the embassy's Eco Shorts Program. The program will feature and highlight Gallagher's reporting on the Chinese Alligators.

Project

Desertification is one of the most important environmental challenges facing the world today, however it is arguably the most under-reported. Desertification is the gradual transformation of arable and habitable land into desert, usually caused by climate change and/or the improper use of land.
