Ryan Anson will share his work from Mindanao, a war-ravaged island in the southern Philippines, of the Uighurs in China's Xinjiang Province, and of Thailand's Malay people in the southern border region. Raised in Kenya, Anson has published stories in outlets including The Washington Post, The New York Times, Newsweek, and Smithsonian Magazine. He frequently contributes to Bloomberg News and Agence France-Presse.
