Washington State University Professor Peter Chilson brings his nearly three decades of experience writing about West Africa to Davidson College. He spent the summer of 2012 reporting from Mali and Burkina Faso for his Pulitzer Center project: "We Never Knew Exactly Where: Dispatches from the Borderlands of West Africa."

Chilson's reporting will be the basis for his e-book, tentatively titled "We Never Knew Exactly Where: Dispatches from a Borderland in Africa," slated for release in December as part of a Pulitzer Center partnership with Foreign Policy. He is visiting Davidson College as part of the Pulitzer Center's Campus Consortium program. His main lecture on campus is titled "We Never Knew Exactly Where: Conflict and Terrorism in Mali."
