Public Health Outreach Specialist Kate Steger has produced a short video on the Pulitzer Center's Dying for Life gateway which will be included in the Maternal Health Digital session at the upcoming Global Maternal Health Conference 2010 in New Delhi, India. The video introduces Pulitzer Center journalism on maternal mortality in Nigeria, India, Ethiopia, Mexico and Guinea Bissau and seeks to engage public health professionals in a discussion of the media's role in raising awareness about global health issues.

The conference is organized by the Maternal Health Task Force in partnership with the Public Health Foundation of India in an effort to continue the recent momentum around reaching Millennium Development Goal 5 and growing international concern over high maternal mortality rates. Maternal Health Digital, will close out the conference by looking at new tools, challenges and strategies for using new media to improve maternal health.

The Conference will take place Monday, August 31-Wednesday, September 1, 2010 in New Delhi, India.

Maternal Health Digital will be on September 1, 2010 at 3:30-5:15 pm India Standard Time (September 1, 6:00-7:45 am Eastern Standard Time in the US).
