Milwaukee Journal Sentinal photojournalist Mike De Sisti, a 1996 Southern Illinois University Carbondale Cinema-Photography alum, will visit his alma mater Monday, April 8 to talk about his role as photographer and videographer in traveling to China to cover the "Paper Cuts" story illustrating how the Wisconsin paper industry is threatened by China and iPads. De Sisti will talk about covering this story in Wisconsin, as well as the challenges of traveling to China as a photojournalist.

Today's photojournalists are required to do more than just take pictures. For this project De Sisti was responsible for capturing video and stills for the printed edition as well as an interactive online publication that included images, photo galleries and documentaries. Join him to hear firsthand how De Sisti approached the work, juggled shooting stills as well as video, writing scripts for narration, and editing the project.
