Photographer Stephanie Sinclair and writer Cynthia Gorney shared the experiences child brides face on October 3, 2011 at National Geographic Society. Sinclair presented images she took over an eight-year period in India, Yemen, Afghanistan, Nepal and Ethiopia. Both journalists discussed their encounter with the practice that spans continents and cultures in conversation with Jon Sawyer, Pulitzer Center executive director. The story was published in the June 2011 issue of National Geographic.
