The Fragile States series has won third place in the National Headliner Awards, under the category of Documentary or Series of Reports in the Broadcast Division. This series of reports was produced by the Pulitzer Center, in partnership with the Bureau for International Reporting. Kira Kay and Jason Maloney's video reports from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, East Timor, Bosnia, and Haiti were featured on the PBS NewsHour.
