The Society of American Travel Writers (SATW) Foundation has awarded Daniel Brook the Gold Prize in the Cultural Tourism Article category for "The Architect of 9/11." He wrote the piece for Slate.

Faculty members of the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill School of Journalism and Mass Communication, coordinated by Winston Cavin, judged the competition. There were 1,161 entries.
