Bringing the World Home: The Challenge and Promise of Global Reporting

While we live in an increasingly globalized world, with new technologies offering amazing opportunities to report and share stories across borders, traditional news outlets today actually cover less and less of the world. Foreign bureaus are shrinking or closing in some of the most respected news outlets across the country. All this at a time when what is happening globally affects our environment, our politics and our daily lives more than ever before.

Nathalie will introduce how the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting is facing this challenge through its dynamic, collaborative, cross-platform model of non-profit journalism and educational outreach.
